Happy Thanksgiving...

This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for my family, my friends, my God, and this beautiful life I have been bestowed. I am also especially thankful to the little one who stole my heart and the reason this blog was ever created...little Molly Grace Toles.

Molly Grace, it's your first Thanksgiving! Did you know Mommy was born on Thanksgiving Day? Well, this thanksgiving I am thankful beyond words for the joy and happiness you have brought into my life. You are THE most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me and I can't wait to see you grow up and accomplish so much. You have my heart baby girl. I am thankful for YOU.

Megan Toles....wait! Megan Talbert!!

My beautiful and amazing baby sister, Megan, got married on Saturday to Mr. Dusty Tablbert. The ceremony was perfect, the Chapel was beautiful, the groomsman were charming, the bridesmaids were GORGEOUS, the bride was BREATHTAKINGLY STUNNING, and the Groom was handsome! We kicked the weekend off with a bridesmaid luncheon at my dad's house in Rome! Then came the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and a few games of Mafia with the bridal party!

Saturday we got all dolled up and took a bazillion pictures, they got hitched, and the bridal party hopped in a limo, champagne in hand and we headed to the reception where we ate yummy food and cake, and danced the night away, and then sent Meg and Dusty away with a sparkling exit. Sunday we had a wedding brunch with the newlyweds at Harvest Moon and then we sent them on their way to Jamaica! It truly was the most beautiful wedding and it was sooo nice to have all my friends and family in the same room doing the electric slide, laughing, catching up, and admiring the beautiful bride! Thank you to everyone who helped make Meggie and Dusty's day so beautiful and special.

I even caught the bouquet! Next to get married?? We'll see about that.

At the rehearsal dinner, my aunt had charms put in the cake for a cake pull for the bride and the bridesmaid. I had never seen one done before. I pulled out a baby carriage, which apparently means, "blessed with children", which is appropriate bc I have been blessed with one! Guess I'll have to have more one day!!

It's that time of year again, Thanksgiving, and then MY BIRTHDAY! I'll be 24! So much has happened this past year. I am so happy with the changes! I can't wait to see what 24 will bring!

I have a four day weekend and I am thrilled! I look forward to relaxing with friends and family! I will miss Meg and Dusty though...hope you guys have a happy thanksgiving in the islands, mon! (get it, they are in Jamaica!) I'm too funny.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!!

Here's a collage from the wedding! (really the reception, if you want more pics check out Facebook! There are A TON!!)

Roomie Love

Today I am thankful for my roomie (and cousin), Kim. She really doesn't know how thankful I am to her and how I am so very appreciative of everything she does for MG and I. When I found out I was pregnant, i knew everything would be ok, but I have to admit I was scared. Not only was I single, but I was working part time at the time and I had no clue how I was going to afford living alone with a baby. That's when Kim stepped in and pretty much I would be on the streets (slight exaggeration) if she hadn't been so helpful in finding MG and I somewhere to live. I know she has spent many nights praying for little Molly Gracie Girl and myself. She is an incredible, Godly woman and I am so SO blessed that Molly Grace and I have her to look to as an example of how to be the hands and feet of Jesus. She is beautiful, outside and inside, caring, encouraging, ORGANIZED AND TIDY (two things I hope to inherit from her simply by living with her), supportive, would do anything for anyone, always lending a helpful hand, smart, handy, creative, hilarious and so much fun, and once again, I could go on and on. I really am super thankful for her. She was such a big help to me in the first few weeks after MG was born, she got up with her when I needed sleep, rocked her, and I can tell how much she loves little Molly Gracie Girl. I am so thankful that she sings Amazing Grace to MG when she is fighting sleep, that they read the bible together in the morning, she lends her tub for me to give Molly Grace her bath, she cuts MG's fingernails and toenails so I don't have to and she cooks me dinner! I will be a good cook because of her! We are so blessed to have Kim! She has been such a big part of my life ever since we were too young to talk. I will never forget playing in the attic at her house when we were little, our vacation to Springlake, FL and "lean on me", our trip to cabbage patch land and rock city, and soo many more. Thank you Kim for being such a great family member, friend, and roommate to MG and I! We love you!!

LOVE!
always,
Mary Beth and Molly Grace

P.S.
Tonight will be the first night that I will not be with Molly Grace, she is sleeping over with her wonderful aunts tonight! I'm nervous, but know she is in good hands!!

So, I'm a total slacker. This wedding this weekend is making my week reeeeeaaaaallllly busy and I'm thinking I probably should have taken more than one day off this week. Yesterday, little MG worked with her Mommy for the majority of the day and I didn't get a chance to post.

SO! Yesterday (and today, and always) I am thankful for Sarah Bryant. Like I said before in Anna's post, they are the first friends I ever had where I could feel totally myself. I am so very thankful for Sars Bars (as I like to call her). Sarah is such a wonderful person. She is creative, kind to EVERYONE, beautiful, hilarious, smart, independent, caring, free spirited, fun, and again, I could go on and on. She is also my best friend. Even though Anna and Sarah are twins, they have significant differences and I share a very special relationship with both of them. Sarah has always been there when I needed her. She would do anything for anyone I'm sure. She brings out the best in me when I am around her. I will never forget our crazy Savannah Halloween's, our roadtrip to Key West, our Atlanta nights, our Chicago nights, Plus One playing while driving down Horesleg, and so many more memories. I love you Sars Bars, thank you for being there when MG was born, for loving us both and putting up with my crazy moments. You are such a blessing to me and MG!

I love you Sarah!

T-minus 3 days til Meg and Dusty Tie the KNOT!
T-minus 10 days til I turn 24!!!

life without you would be...

chaos!

So...

Today I am thankful for my best friend, Anna. It's hard to know where to start with this one, much like the others she has been there for me so many times and I am forever grateful for her as well. Anna and I have been friends for many years. Anna and Sarah were the first friends I had that I felt like I could totally be myself with. Anna is kind, compassionate, loving, fun, beautiful, amazing, supportive, encouraging, smart, independent, friendly, and so much more. I am thankful to her for being there for me all the time, no matter how far away we are from each other. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, for the roadtirps, the scooter rides, the music, for helping me out, for flying home to be there for MG's birth, for being there when I took my pregnancy test when I found out little MG would be arriving, for crying with me, for laughing with me, for ice skating with me, for lovig me and for being my best friend. I wish I could pay you back in ten fold for everything you have done for me. You are my best friend and always will be! I can't wait til (one day in the future) you have kids and then MG and your kids can be best friends!

I LOVE YOU ANN!!!

Bear with me again...

Sunday...
Today I am thankful for my little baby sister love Amy. First off, I could have NEVER have made it through the last year without you by my side. You will never know how much you mean to me little Ames. Throughout my entire pregnancy, you were there to be my support and I am forever grateful for everything you did for me and MG. Amy is one of the most spirited people I know. She is HILARIOUS, generous, so much fun, sweet, beautiful, talented, supportive, friendly, kind, strong, mean when she needs to be (only to you know who), she always has my back, and goes out of her way to help me. She, like her sister Megan, love Molly Grace so much and I can tell they would do anything for her and me, as well. I am thankful that as we grew older we have become great friends. You have grown into such a beautiful lady mamy. I love you and I am so thankful for you and I am so blessed to call you sister.

I love you Amy! I'm thankful for you!!!

I didn't get a chance to update on Saturday and Sunday, so I am making up for those days...forgive me, please!

Saturday....
I am thankful for my sweet baby sister Megan. She is getting married in a few days and I could not be more excited and happy for her. I believe she truly has found her soulmate in Dusty and I know they will have a happy lifetime together. My sister Megan is one of the sweetest people I know. We are very different. I admire her in so many ways. First of all, she keeps me organized....she is waaay more tidy than I am and helps my life be less cluttered. She is also loving, beautiful, caring, hilarious, pratical, oh so stylish, talented, smart, and I could go on and on and on!
I love you very, very much Meggie and I thank God everyday that I get to be your big sister. You are an amazing, amazing person and Molly Grace and I are so blessed. You have always been there for me. Thank you for supporting me after bad breakups, for celebrating birthdays with me, for being there when MG was born, for letting me crash at your apartment for almost a month, and for always letting me borrow your clothes clothes. I will never forget playing dress up with you as kids, spending time together as we grew up, and I can't wait to see how our relationship grows as we grow older!

Don't take ANYTHING for granted...

Whew, thank goodness for the weekend and a relaxing one at that! This is the first weekend in a while that I haven't had a shower/party/wedding to attend! I plan on spending every moment I possibly can with the bear. She is such a little joy.

As promised, here is what I am thankful for today...

I had a line up as to how I was going to post my "thankful" posts, but today I am going to venture off course. I was going to be post thankfulness for someone else in my life, but because of the work I do I am taking it back to the basics. Don't worry though, whoever I was going to post about will be in the next post. I guess you'll have to come back to find out who it was :)

Today I am thankful for running water. Seriously. My heart broke this morning when I found out that one of my Meals on Wheels clients has been without running water in her home since MAY! I was still preggers in May....May seems so far away, and yet this particular client has been without water in her home since then. I cannot imagine what that is like. I mean when I started thinking about all the things you do with water, my heart broke for this lady. Going to the bathroom, cooking, laundry, washing hands, etc. We take all these things for granted. Yet, this client living in the U.S., has no water. So today I am thankful that I have water to do things I need to do. I literally, if I could, would pay every month for her to have water.

Today I started reading NieNie. I found out about her through another mommy's blog that I follow. Today I decided to check her out. She really is an amazing mother and has overcome so much. She was a joy to read and an inspiration to me as a mother. She is so creative. I really do wish I could be as creative as some of the mother's blogs I follow. if you haven't started reading her blog, you should def. check her out!

Kim took some fall photos of MG this past weekend and I must say they turned out WONDERFUL! here are a few, you will only find these right now on my blog so CHECK THEM OUT!

Thank you Heavenly Father for all my many blessings, including running water.

LOVE!

always,
Mary Beth

Thankful Thursday

I'm posting for Day 3 of being thankful!

Today I am thankful for...my daddy. I have a loving father who I don't thank enough. He has been such a provider for me ever since I was a little girl. He has loved me and never given up on me even though I am less than perfect. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met and I am so blessed to call him my dad. He taught me unconditional love too (like my mother). He truly means so much to me and I don't think I can ever repay him for everything he has done for me either. I love my daddy. I'm thankful for telling me Mrs. Cow stories growing up, for swinging me in the swing, for playing "A Cold Day in July" by the Dixie Chicks after my 1st heartbreak, and for loving me! I love you Daddy and I am soooo thankful for you!

Along with my thankful post, I am including some else I am thankful for....FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT ARE PRETTY MUCH PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO CAPTURE LITTLE MG!!

These picturesn were taken by Barry Bryant during our trip to cave spring on Halloween! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

she is so cute I just can't take it. My heart hurts from wanting to explode with love. lol. Thank you Barry for lending your talent and camera to phtograph my bear!

Where would I be without you...

As promised today is day 2 of what I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for my beautiful and wonderful mother. Through her I have learned how to be a mother. She is kind, caring, supportive, loving, fun, and STRONG.
I love my mother soo much and honestly am a better person because I am her daughter! She has always been there for me and through her I have also learned unconditional love. I have made soo many mistakes and never once has she loved me less. I am so very thankful for everything she has done for me. I wish that I could repay her in some way for everything she is done, but I could never match everything. I love you Mom! I can't wait to watch you and MG together as she grows. I am so thankful for you!!

MG gets her shots today. Say a little prayer for the bear.

I am Thankful for

So, I usually don't do the whole facebook mass things but being that I was born on Thanksgiving day (in 1985), I thought I would get in the spirit! I saw this on someone's status and instead of sharing it with the massive amounts of friends I have on facebook, I will share it with the few (probably 3 or 4 of you) that read my blog. I PROMISE to do this everyday until Thanksgiving, but really I should be thanking Jesus everyday for this beautiful life I've been blessed with instead of just once a year.

Let's see how many people can do this. Every day this month until Thanksgiving think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it as your status. "Today I am thankful for..." The longer you do it the harder it gets! Now if you think you can do it then repost this message as your status to invite others to take the challenge, then post what YOU are thankful for today.

Today I am thankful for God allowing me to be a mother to my beautiful baby girl who this blog is dedicated to. MG, everyday you never cease to amaze me with how beautiful and sweet you are. I look at you and tears come to my eyes when I think about how wonderfully made you are. You help me to see life in the most simple way and I love and thank you for that. You truly have made me a beter person. I love you sweet, sweet baby girl and I am so thankful to be your mother.

What are you thankful for??

LOVE!

always,

Mary Beth and Molly Grace

MG Bear gets her second set of shots tomorrow. I hate shots dau. Please be praying for us both! It truly will hurt me more than it will hurt her!

Video Killed the Radio Star

Because I currently don't own a camera that records video clips I haven't been able to record my little wiggle worm as she learns her world! BUT! Thanks to my amazing roommate Kim and the use of her lovely digital camera, I now have in my possession video clips of my little baby bear! I hope you enjoy these as much as I have!

I have more but I guess you will have to come back later to see them! Love! Always, Mary Beth and Molly Grace

Little Molly Grace at One Month Old
