Happy Father's Day

This past year and a half has really made me appreciate my dad, and all other dads.
I have been blessed with a wonderful dad and now Molly Grace has a wonderful Papa.
Thank you Daddy for swining me on the swing, telling me Mrs. Cow stories, being supportive and loving, forgiving, for providing for me, for sharing my laughter and tears, for playing "A cold day in July" when I needed a laugh, even though it wasn't funny then, for sing a longs on vacation, for "frosty, no man", for all of our memories.
Watching you with MG is so great. She is so blessed to call you Papa. I can't wait for her to share her childhood with you.
We love you! Happy Father's Day!

11 months...

a week or so late....

MG is now officially 11 months old as of June 6th.

11 months has proved to be a big month for the little girl. I've been rambling on about how close she was to walking and now, well, you guys, she is a walker. And, I have video to prove it.

Along with walking comes the talking, her babbling has becoming more of words with "bye bye" being her favorite to say, and "ma ma" coming in a close second. She also says "ba ba" and sometimes I can get a "baby" out of her!

I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but she has fallen in love with Baby Einstein. The little girl that refuses to sit still ever will sit and play and watch her Baby Einstein "Baby's 1st sounds" video through the whole thing. I'm convinced there is a subliminal message in them, but it has come in handy for getting ready in the mornings for me!

She is beginning to eat table food. The child will eat anything. I'm kind of struggling with how to feed her right now though. I'm not a very good cook and I really want her to be healthy so that means me eating healthy as well and sacrificing time of relaxing and eating whatever is in the fridge when I get hungry at night and actually planning a menu and sticking to it.

She is also going through severe separation anx
iety. We have been attending a new church and every Sunday when I take her to the nursery is heartbreaking for her and me. She screams and they pull her away from me and my heart breaks and I try to take comfort in that she will stop crying in a few minutes. On the 6th though, (her 11 month "birthday") they had to call me out of the service to come get her because he hadn't stopped crying for 30 minutes. I heart dropped when I saw on the screen, "Will the parents of Molly Grace please come to nursery". I was out of there so fast and when I got to her she was fine and outside with one of the nursery workers taking a bottle. I'm praying that this will get easier as she gets used to us being there every Sunday.

Things she loves these days...
dog leashes
her hello kitty backpack
water fountains
and..
giving kisses, waving bye bye, throwing things, singing to the radio in the car, and much much more...

and now...the proof of her walking...

what I've been doing lately...

is obsessing over the little bear girl's upcoming 1st birthday party.

Wow, did I really just type that?? I am going to be the mother of a one year old in 3 weeks. Where did my tiny, well, not tiny at 8 pounds, 11 ounces, but small baby girl go??

But, for real, this birthday party has me thinking of nothing else.

So, I thought since it's all I can think about, I would give my loyal followers a little sneak peak of the invitations that I am hoping to have finished by tomorrow or Friday!

now, aren't you just dying to know how they will turn out?!?
I know I am!!

we survived!

I left her for 59 hours (2 and 1/2 days) and we both made it!!
I had a great weekend in Tybee Island celebrating the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Graycheck!
Teddi and Matt's beach wedding was beautiful! It was so good to be able to witness first hand their commitment to each other and to relive some old memories with a few of my friends from the "good ole days" at UGA!
I missed MG alot, but it was so nice to get a little mommy break! Kim sent me picture updates of the little bear girl over the weekend so I knew she was having fun and not missing me too much!
I thought instead of a lengthy play by play of everything we did all weekend, I'd give you a much more fun version of my first "momcation", a picture recap!
Before I left Friday morning...trying on my hat while strinking a pose!
already a fashonista!

I have more pictures that should be up soon!

I'm glad my first trip away was successful for everyone involved! I missed MG but enjoyed not making a bottle every 4 hours and definitely didn't miss diaper changes!! By Sunday though, I was ready to get back to my motherily duties!

Congrats Teddi and Matt!

Stay tuned for pictures from what MGT did while Mommy was away!
