33 weeks....

Ok, so one more week down.

Not too much going on. I am getting excited about the showers that I will be having in the month of June.

Amy's birthday is May 31st! She'll be 19! Now time to shop for the pickiest person I know! I want to get her something so incredibly awesome, but its so difficult!

I'm very pregnant.

here is proof.

maybe one day i'll ghave a preggers picture of myself that I didn't take of myself in the bathroom at work. lol.

Here's whats up with MGT:

Your Baby
The big news this week is lung development—baby's respiratory system is almost completely mature. That means if your baby was born this week, odds are he'd be a healthy bouncing baby with a just a little help from his friends (aka, the NICU). Some of the specifics are:

Your baby can now detect light and tell the difference between night and day (of course that ability will miraculously disappear once he's born and up all night screaming). His pupils will constrict and dilate in response to light. If you shine a flashlight on your belly, your baby may shy away from the light as if to say, "Cut it out, Ma. You're soooo annoying."

The bones in your baby's skull are soft and are not yet fused together. In other words, now is not the time to teach him how to do a headspin while breakdancing. This pliability allows the bones to overlap; making that trip down the tight birth canal possible (and resulting in that surprising cone head look your baby will sport for the first few days post-birth. Don't worry, it's totally normal and that's what hats are for.)

Your baby will continue to pack on the pounds gaining around ½ pound a week from here on out.

Your baby weighs about 4½ pounds, as much as a grownup duck, and is approximately 17.5 inches long, about the same as a collarbone-length pearl necklace. (Did somebody say push present?)

That's all for now. I wish I was in the sun.

counting down the days...

50 days left. That's not too many right??

Tonight is the last night of my "Special Deivery" class. I think i might actually miss going! We are touring the hospital tonight and learning how to change diapers..I probably could use the practice!!

I miss my friends. I cannot wait to meet Molly Grace. She is the love of my life. Funny how one can love someone soooo much, before you even have met them.

32 weeks!

I've actually started having to remind/convince myself how many weeks I really am, good thing I've kept up this blog because thats the way I remember just how many weeks I am. I think it is a coping strategy. 7 more weeks seems like sooo much longer, but also it seems like not enough time to be ready to be a Mom to the most wonderful, precious, beautiful baby girl ever. And I'm in a constant state of discomfort these days, but I CAN DO THIS. THROUGH HIM. I've been reciting to myself
1st Peter 5:6-7, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, because He cares about you."

Exciting things happening:
This weekend is a 3 DAY WEEKEND. oh, how I have waited for a day off. I'm not sure what I will do on this lovely holiday, but hopefully I will get to spend it relaxing, in the sun somewhere possibly, with a book? hopefully.

Dusty (Meg's fiancee) and his twin brother Corey are celebrating their 22nd birthday next Wenesday and I am taking some comp time I have to take a half a day off and go to the lake on the Party Yacht! YEAH-UH! should be fun...maybe i'll swim. I wonder what it is like to swim preggers.

My little Amy is celebrating her 19th birthday on the 31st! she's growing up...

I think I will be having two baby showers within the next 3 or 4 weeks, which is always exciting!

Nothing too much going on here in baby terms, she's just growing, growing, and outgrowing my belly. I've become accustomed to her foot being lodged in my rib cage. Keep me in your prayers, this whole thing is a lot and I find myself daily doing everything to encourage myself and remind myself just how amazing she will be when she gets here. Also, I've got to find childcare for this little one. So, if you know anyone who would like to keep an infant at a rate I can afford...PASS IT ON TO ME!

I want to be creative, but it's just not working at the moment...

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Just thought I would update you all on the doctor's appointment I had yesterday...so I'll give you my usual update format...

Weeks/Months: 30 weeks...7 MONTHS!
Total weight gain/loss: 17 pounds
Maternity clothes? Mostly, I have a ton of summer dresses I can wear still that aren't maternity!
Stretch marks? If I do, I can't see them! Ha!
Sleep: Off and on...it's hard to find a good position, but I can usually get a few good hours before I have to wake up and go to the bathroom. Still using 100 million pillows and when I can Tylenol PM.
Best moment this week: at the doctor, when she kicked me so hard while the nurse was trying to find her heartbeat/rate! It made the nurse jump! that's my child!!
Movement: ALL THE TIME. its great though. and strange at the same time.
Food cravings: none lately.
Gender: sweet baby girl
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? OUT!!! UH!!
What I miss: non-maternity outfits and eating without getting indigestion!
What I am looking forward to: July 15, 2009!
Weekly Wisdom: After my Special Delivery Class last week and watching the video we saw, I would advise everyone planning to ever give birth to get drugs!! Bring on the epidurol!
Milestones: Getting to the 30's! YAY!! and making a "new mom" interview with a pediatrician!

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything is looking good right now, Praise the Lord! According to the Nurse Practitioner, Molly Grace is head down and all of my vitals look good.

My BP was 110/72, which is good I think. I weight 140 pounds. Not too bad, more than I've ever weighed before, but I can handle it. I go back in 3 weeks, and then 2 weeks after that and then every week after 35 weeks. and then I will be a Mommy!

I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but I started my "lamazze classes" or what Athens Regional likes to call "Special Delivery" classes last week. They meet every Tuesday in May. My wonderful mom is going to them with me, which makes Tuesday's so fun for me because I get to see her and become even more frightened about giving birth. lol. Last week we saw some videos that made me realize there is no way in HADES i will do this thing without being drugged up. The women in this video looked like they were about to die and take everyone around them with them. I do feel now though that I am somewhat more informed about the process of labor and delivery. We get to tour the hospital on the last Tuesday, so that should be exciting.

We went and looked at the house this weekend! It's 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a huge living room w/fireplace, and a big kitchen and breakfast area! I can't wait to have a house warming party and I think we are going to host a bridal shower for my beautiful baby sister, Megan, there!

Here is a pic of the outside of the house, (the little girl in the driveway is my cousin Brianna!)

so yeah..not too much going on. Just getting ready for her to be here! I'll update soon!

30 weeks!!!!

so another week has come and gone and I am now 30 weeks!

only 9 weeks left people, single digits, i love it.

Good news:

I have a place to live!! My beautiful cousin Kimberly (pictured with me below) has been working her little butt off trying to find us a place to live next year that is halfway between Athens and Cumming (where we each work). I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to speak a little about how truly AMAZING Kim is. We have been close cousins all of our lives. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of being with her and her sisters and my aunt and uncle. There house was always SO much fun to play at. Ever since she found out about my pregnancy she has been SO HELPFUL in every way possible. She planned an AMAZING baby shower for me, moved back home to help save $$ for the house, looked for the house, played silly guess the gender games before I knew what I was having, prayed for me, laughed with me, shopped for Molly Grace, bought me a dress, I mean I could keep going. I am SO incredibly blessed to have her as family, and friend. I can't wait for Molly Grace to meet her. I have always looked up to Kim, she has a faith like no other. She radiates the love of Jesus Christ. She is such an amazing person to be around and I love her and can't wait to become her roomie on July 1!!

here's what's going on according to 3dprgenancy.com with Molly Grace:
Big news for baby's brain this week: It's starting to wrinkle and fold and looks like something that grew in the back of your fridge. This is due to the rapid growth of your little genius's brain cells. Other highlights this week:

Fingernails and toenails are finally finished—causing his or her parents great fear and anguish the first time they try to cut those little daggers (it gets easier, we promise)! Plus, the bone marrow is completely in charge of red-blood-cell production now. Trust us, this is a good thing.

Baby is starting to shed her lanugo—the downy hair that was covering her skin. Now that she's chubbier and better able to regulate her body temp, she doesn't need to sport a fur coat 24/7.

"I spy an umbilical cord and the inside of my mom's uterus!" When your baby is awake, his eyes are now wide open and he's whittling away the hours looking around, checking out his rather dark, limited environs.

Your baby hasn't gained much weight or height this week, as most of his energy's been channeled to the brain. She weighs about 3 pounds and is approximately 15.5 inches long, about the size of London, not the city, Britney Spears' Yorkie terrier. Of course your baby is less hairy and way cuter!

so thats whats going on with her!

I am waiting to get the pics from Kim from the baby shower so as soon as I get them, I post them. We had SO much fun and I got alot of great stuff. A high chair, stroller, car seat, bassinet, clothes, diapers, blankets, bibs, all that great baby stuff!

I have a doctor's appointment Monday so I will post about that after the appointment! Hope everyone has a great Mother's Day!

Oh and pray for my wonderful Mommy, as she is job hunting again, and has an interview on Tuesday.

I love you all!

Here's a 30 week picture!

i had been crying before this picture, it must come along with being this preggers because I've been crying all week!
