boo boo bear

It had to happen sometime and yesterday was that sometime.

My wonderful, wonderful, wonderful(!) grandmother keeps little miss Molly Grace on Tuesdays and Thursdays and yesterday while I was at work the bear got her first boo boo! On her face.

My grandmother does such a good job with MG and MG adores her. I knew my little girl would get a boo boo eventually and if it had to happen, I'll take this injury over most.

While my grandmother was unplugging the radio in her room (to give to me later that afternoon so we could take it to the beach with us) the radio somehow fell and scratched the bear's face. Grandma said that she thought she had unplugged the radio but had unplugged something else and when she went to grab it is wasn't unplugged. Thus, leaving a little scratch on MG's face.

She's a trooper though. No ER was needed and only a few tears were shed. Most of them by my grandmother I'm sure!

I really want to get an owie-bear for MG, as named by the talented Keight Dukes when her son's got his first boo boo as seen in this post by putapuredukes. Check it out! Such a neat idea, for the not so neat things that happen to our little ones!

if i do say so myself, she wears her scar really well y'all...she is still super cute.

Mmba Buckets List

Tonight the bear girl and I went shopping with my grandmother for an Easter dress. She didn't find one (unfortunately) but she did buy MG some cute play outfits! Belk is where it's at for sales on baby clothes. Most everything was 20-50% off. But I digress, on the way home from shopping, the bear girl fell asleep and that was 37 minutes ago. For the record, she typically doesn't go to bed until about 9:30 p.m. or so, and yes I realize this is awful, but I have had a hard time getting her on a strict schedule because I do not lead a strict scheduled life. About the only thing I do the same every day is go to work from 7:30-3:30. So, for MG to already be asleep at 8:00 is a huge break for mommy.

After I folded clothes, straightened rooms, packed a little more (3 MORE DAYS TO MYRTLE BEACH!), and got the diaper bag ready for the morning, I sat down on the couch. A couple of deep breaths and sighs of relief later, I started thinking about all things I wish I could do right now.

Then I decided I had to blog them. Hence, the title, Mmba Buckets List. Why Mmba instead of My? Well thats because, it's one of my beloved nicknames, "Mmba Buckets" affectionately termed by Bret Wallin, Anna Bryant and Sarah Bryant, and Leah Robinson due to our many late, late nights of playing Dutch Blitz back in the day.

So, to quench your wondering spirits, I present to you
Mmba Buckets List
1. Learn how to ballroom dance, salsa, cha-cha, waltz, etc.
2. Learn how to sew
3. Learn how to make bows
4. Travel out of the country
5. Become a better blogger...

and she's awake...my time is gone, but I am more than thankful for it.

I'll be back with the rest soon! So check back!

blogiversary

GUYS!! IT'S BEEN A YEAR OF livingwith{molly}grace!

I really would like to do a giveaway for all my loyal followers, so if any of you have any suggestions on what I could giveaway, let me know. Being that I clearly am not crafty, I can't sew you anything cool. Really, I suck at crafty stuff. SO! If any of you would like to team up with me and help me out let me know!

It's been a year of blogging...and it all started with this post. I was 5 months pregnant and now next week the bear will be 9 months old...crazy how time flies.

So, thanks for following (if you haven't do so now!), commenting (go on, you know you want to comment on this one!), and reading (no matter how bad I suck!).

This blog is for Molly Grace and YOU. So keep doing what you do best blog buddies, blogging.

Here's to another year.

i love the impromptu

I've been having serious writer's block.

For some reason I can't write because I feel that there are so many other bloggers out there that blog better than I do, that I don't feel the need to. It's silly, I hope.

Not being able to blog though follows me throughout my days, I want to write but I can't think of anything good enough.

So, today, I decided to just start typing I will not let bloggers block stop me from blogging, especially when I have a little one that is just to darn cute not to talk about.

Important things to mention:

She has SIX(!?!) going on SEVEN teeth. One of her "two front teeth" has broken through (I thought they were supposed to come for Christmas?! ;))

She is talking, talking, talking, mainly ba, ba, ba, and ga, ga, ga and only sometimes do I hear ma, ma, but she definitely doesn't have a connection between ma ma and me. I love to hear her talk. It's pretty much the sweetest thing ever.

She is about to embark on her longest road trip to date. We are so excited to be going to Mrytle Beach this weekend to celebrate Easter withh my mom, sisters, brother in law and sister's "boyfriend". I am looking forward to experiencing the sand and surf with the bear. Her 1st Beach Trip and her 1st Easter!

She is standing by herself and walking a long the couch, coffee table, chairs, etc. like a CHAMP. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't take off walking soon.

PICTURES!

We were scheduled to have a photography session with Miss Amy Jo Glover on March 21st, but because GA weather is ri-dang-diculous, we had to reschedule for April 10th. I was so bummed that I wouldn't get to have any Easter pictures done of her. BUT! This past Saturday as we were celebrating my grandmother's birthday, my fabulous uncle Matthew and his fabulous/crazy expensive camera lens and fabulous talent, caught some FABULOUS (☻) pictures of the bear. They need some editing, but I ♥ them. He is so great and it doesn't help that his subject is absolutely beautiful.
ugh. it says i have met my photo quota on Picasa and cannot upload pictures to blogger. see facebook for the pictures!

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Birthday!

Today as you all know is St. Patrick's Day. MG and I are decked out in our green so we won't get pinched, but the real reason we are adorned in green is in honor of my baby sister and MG's aunt Megan! Today is Meggie's 22nd birthday!

Twenty-two years ago I don't think I was too excited about sharing my parents with her. It was rumored that I vehemently denied having a sister and tried to hide her. I was a little over 2 when she was born and had first born syndrome pretty bad! I am so glad now that she is my sister, because not only is she an amazing sister, but also an amazing person and friend! These past couple of years I have seen her become such a grown-up. I even got to be a part of her big day back in November when she got MARRIED. (still weird to say it!) I was honored to be one of her maids-of honor. I admire her in so many ways and I am thankful for her for being one of my best friends. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and Dusty. I also can't wait til they have kids so MG can have cousins!

In honor of her 22nd, I thought I would share some St. Patty's/ Birthday pics of me and Megan from over the years. Unfortunately, last year I was 5 months preggo and refused to take pictures so 2009 is a lost cause! I wish I had taken more pictures when I was pregnant, but I will make up for last year tonight and this weekend when we celebrate Meggie's 22nd and St. Patty's!

and again, unfortunately, no pic from 2009, but here is one from her wedding (best day ever!) last year..

Me and Meg, the most beautiful bride I've ever seen!

Love you Meg and Happy Birthday!!

As for the rest of you, be sure to come back and look at pictures of MG in her CUTE St. Patty's Day attire!

It never happens to me....

BUT IT DID!

I won my very first blog giveaway and I could not have picked a more perfect one to win!!

Last week I entered this giveaway. I can't exactly remember how I found Jessica's blog, but I am glad I did. She has two adorable kids, Grace and Hudson. She was giving away a doll and a doll pattern away from Bit of Whimsy dolls and I thought that Molly Grace would love to be the proud owner of such a cute handmade doll. I entered and never thought I would actually win! When I got the comment on my wall from Jessica saying I had won, I was so flippin excited. It was so hard to choose which doll to get because they are all so amazing. I ended up choosing Kennedy the Lamb:

Good thing I got the actual doll because I can't sew, even though I sew wish I could. :)

Read Jessica's blog, she even had a picture of Grace (her daughter) with my name after she randomly drew it!

Check out Sarah of Bit of Whimsy Dolls too! I think every little girl should have a Bit of Whimsy doll!

and this is just a picture of Molly Grace, she was working on developing her serious face. I think she mastered it!

She is having pictures made this weekend so I am praying she'll look at the camera and give me some good smiles!

love!

I ♥ Etsy

So, I don't know if I have mentioned my ♥ for etsy.com. I have just recently started buying and I CAN'T STOP. Molly Grace's spring/summer wardrobe will consist of a variety of different outfits/jumpers/dresses/bows from sellers that I have marked as favorites on the site.

I thought I would share my ♥ for etsy with my fellow blogging buddies.

Here's a list of sellers who I have shopped from or plan on shopping from very soon:
1. putapurekdukes: One blogger that I admire so much for her creavtivity, craftiness and hilarity just opened up very own esty store and I thought I would share the link with you. Her name is Keight Dukes and she has the cutest little boy named Judah. I only sort of know her in "real life" from my limited days at CCF when I lived in Atlanta and hung out with Luke and all the other CCF'ers for a summer and a little more. I love reading about Keight, Jesse, and Judah and look forward to her posts because she is the master couponer and now sews, plus Judah is one of the cutest kids I have ever seen. Take a look at her blog and at her etsy store!

2.handsmocked: This seller is someone I do not know in "real life" at all. I found them on Etsy looking for MG the perfect Easter dress. While I couldn't find Easter dresses in MG's size available, I did find this adorable blue striped smocked dress that I could monogram with the bear's initials. It just came in the mail and it is every bit as perfect than it was in the picture online! I can't wait for MG to wear it in her upcoming photo shoot with Amy Jo Glover photography (check her out) at the end of this month and to have pictures of her in it!

3. theclassicbaby: I am a huge, huge, huge, fan of smocked dresses and if I had the ability to do anything "crafty" in the world, it would be to be able to smock and monogram. I bought MG's smocked 1st birthday dress from theclassicbaby and it is a handmade, custom order for Molly Grace. It is perfect and I can't wait for MG to wear it and for you guys to see it, come JULY. I'm planning a little early for her b-day party this year.

4. MollysCustomDesigns: I bought this dress for Molly Grace from this seller and I am absolutely in love with it. She has the sweetest little kids clothing and of course, it is almost all monogrammed and at a decent cost! $30 bucks and under for most of her items! Her daughter's name is Molly and their last name starts with a "T" so her daughter and MG almost have the same initials. I plan on buying more from this shop as soon as my bank account recovers from the recent few (several) purchases I have made off etsy!

5. Signsbycj: This seller sells window clings, car decals, wall clings, and so much more! I just recently ordered a car decal from her for my car and it was get this: $7.00 including shipping! My sister Megan has one for her care and she also got wall decor fo her and Dusty's bedroom and it is awesome! And affordable. Definitely check CJ out! I hope Meg doesn't mind, but I've included pics of Meg's purchases from signsbycj!

6.monkeyseeboutique: I bought Molly Grace's Easter Bucket from them and I am in love with it! It hasn't come in yet, but I am sure it will be every bit as perfect as it looks in the picture! Hopefully she will use for several years! They also have a ton of great gift ideas and so much more I could buy!
That's all for now from me, folks. Please, please, please let me know if you know someone personally that has their own etsy store, or if you have sellers that are your favorites on etsy. Any opportunity to add more favorites to my etsy.com account is more than appreciated!
leave me some love. please. i'm begging you. also, if you read and haven't followed me, do so now :)

we have a level one walker....8 MONTHS of Molly Grace!

Today Molly Grace is 8 months old. In honor of this milestone, I am going to list the 8 of the things I love the most about her!

1. Her laugh. I mean really, the child's laugh is contagious. Her laugh more than makes up for all the tears.

2. Her love for her mommy. I love when she reaches for me. It is such an amazing feeling to be that someone for her that she knows will always love her and keep her safe.

3. Bath time! She loves bath time as much as I love watching her splish and splash.

4. Her excitement for, well everything. When she sees something see wants she bounces and waves her arms and it is quite possibly the cutest thing ever.

5. Bedtime. She does not even try to hide the fact that she is tired when its bed time, she settles in with her head on my chest and her paci in her mouth and she drifts off. She will normally hold my hand or rub my hand until she falls asleep.

6. Rocking chair time. Sometimes if she is having a tough time falling to sleep, I will rock to her and either sing to her or read to her. Like the song says, "you're going to miss this" and I will. Probably my favorite time with her occurs when I am rocking her and singing to her.

7. Her exploring nature. I hope that she never loses her sense of exploring. Watching her explore any environment she is such a joy. The simplest things make her happy and it reminds me to notice the simple moments.

8. Last but not least, I love the fact that I get to be her mommy. Each day brings something new. I love seeing the world through her eyes. I love watching her grow. I adore her and am so very thankful for her. She makes me a better person. She pushes me to be better. I can do things now that I would have never been able to do with her.

ION: On her 8th month "birthday", Molly Grace decided she wanted to test out her toy she got for Valentine's Day...a walker that converts to a ride along after your child can walk. She did so good! I have several videos. She really IS growing up too fast! Enjoy!

LOVE!
